Samson Jigging
For over 10 years Mills Charters has been taking Japanese fishing clubs jigging off the Perth coast. This form of fishing is now becoming extremely popular across Australia.
Jigging for Samson Fish is a truly amazing experience. Named for their incredible strength, the Samson Fish is thought to be, pound for pound, one of the strongest and best fighting fish in the world.
Expert tuition in jigging techniques is provided by our specialist crew for customers who have never battled a Giant Fish on steroids. We guarantee that you have the fight of your life.
There will be a prize of a complimentary day fishing trip for 4 people for any of our customers who beat the 50kg Samson fish barrier plus an additional $1000 in cash if you can beat the record of a 52.7kg fish.
Samson jigging season runs from November to March. We provide the latest Shimano spinning reels and Shimano jigging rods. As with our deep sea fishing trips, all food and drinks will be provided.
Our record fish (see right) caught with Mills in 2003 is 52.7kg caught by one of our Japanese guests.
